How to use Google Flights to book cheap flights to travel

What is Google Flights?
Google Flight is a flight aggregate and search tool that shows the routes and fares offered by almost all major airlines around the world. It is one of the best tools for finding cheap flights.
Why and how to use Google Flights?
Google Flights are often no more than our first stop because they have the most versatile search functionality like their price-calendar tool for scouring through several months of data to identify the best fares for each route. Their pricing data also comes directly from airlines and is therefore usually fairly accurate. This would not be true, but in an industry where prices fluctuate heavily and often, this is as good as we have seen.
Good for:
·         Finding the best travel dates
·         Quick, Comprehensive Searches
·         Using Search Filters
Bad for:
·         Error detection
·         Quick, Comprehensive Searches
·         Using Search Filters
Find the cheapest travel dates using Google Flights:
Step 1: Open the Calendar
If you have reached Google Flights using the example travel link in our flight alert, you should have already seen a sample search. Start by changing your departure/destination airport to complete your plans. If you prefer that the itinerary is different from our example, you can always change the details to suit your plans. Using the Google Flights calendar tool, you can quickly see what the cheap flight’s departure dates are, as they are highlighted in green.
Step 2: Using the Google Flights Filter
You can filter fares with special airlines, departure times, number of stops en-route and even connecting airports. Importantly, do not ignore the "flight duration" filter hidden behind the "More" menu. This is the best way to extract money from your results overnight. Once you set your cheap flights filters, you can go back to the Calendar tool to see the updated results. We've found that they sometimes take longer to load when multiple filters are set, so be patient!
Step 3: Choose your destination
Once you select your departure flight, you will be shown the selection and price of the cheap Google flights for the total travel next to each of them. Select your preferred option and Google will show you the best option to book, usually offered directly by the airline and sometimes by some major travel agents such as Expedia.
